About Us

Jessica Airs

Founder & Managing Director

Before establishing Recruitment Ready, Jessica spent a decade working in senior executive recruitment with national executive search firm Kathleen Townsend Executive Solutions.  Having worked on hundreds of successful assignments, she has a deep understanding of what the recruitment process looks like from both the employer and the job seekers perspective.  She has a great sense of what candidates are doing right and wrong and what employers are looking for in new employees.

Working on assignments for a large range of organisations in commercial, government and not-for-profit sectors, Jessica has had exposure to the differences and similarities that Employers seek in new recruits.  She is now using that experience to help both Employers and Job Seekers navigate the recruitment process.

Prior to her time in executive search Jessica spent her 5 years in the Real Estate Industry selling property and was the first female auctioneer in one of Victoria’s largest agencies.  She’s also had a number of years in accounts and sales in a variety of sectors including transport & logistics, OH&S and retail.

Kathy Townsend

Principal – Advisory Services

Kathy Townsend has had extensive experience working with senior executives transitioning into new roles across government, corporate and not-for-profit sectors. She ran the very successful executive search practice, Kathleen Townsend Executive Solutions (KTES) for 21 years having previously been a Partner with global firm, AMROP International.

Prior to moving into the private sector, Kathy was the Head of the Office of the Status of Women in the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet in Canberra. Previously she was an adviser to the Federal Attorney General having worked for the House of Representatives Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee.  She began her career in education and training sector.

 

Kathy’s unique blend of experience has given her a sophisticated understanding of the employment market and how individuals can best position themselves to be attractive to new employers.
